Jeffery is a Hobart-based wine professional with a broad array of industry experience. At the tender age of 17, Jeffery began his career in hospitality. Yet, it was his time at Hobart’s Grape Wine Bar that ignited his love of wine.

In 2016, Jeffery joined the team at Stefano Lubiana working as a cellar hand in their iconic Derwent River winery, a formative journey during which he gained first hand experience in wine production. Jeffery embarked upon a move to Melbourne to work with the crew at Supernormal and Supernormal Canteen where he finessed his hospitality skills, as well as taking on the role of assistant wine buyer. Before returning to Tasmania, Jeffery assumed the role of Victorian area manager with Negociants Australia, immersing himself in the world of sales and distribution.

Since 2023, Jefferey has held the head sommelier role at The Tasman Hotel’s Peppina, currently one of the World’s 50 Best Hotels. Jeffrey’s career highlights include a residency with L’Enclume (3 Michelin stars) at Bathers Pavilion, yet it is his passion for Tasmanian wine and supporting its local wine community, which is has his full focus today.
