$25.00 – $50.00

Imagine having a sibling rivalry with an omnipresent heavy-hitter? Well, Aligoté, the oft-overlooked little sibling to Chardonnay, takes that mantle.

But, the landscape is changing in both Burgundy, and more recently in Australia. Aligoté, the ‘other white grape’ of Burgundy, is steadily emerging from the shadow of its sibling.

In this masterclass, hosted by Wiremu Andrews (Dearth of a Salesman) and Greg Lightfoot (Santé Wines), Sommeliers Australia will attempt to assemble every commercially available Australian Aligoté and taste them alongside a selection of Bourgogne Aligoté, Bouzeron, and more.

Sophie Darling, winemaker at King Valley’s Darling Estate, will join us to share her family’s story of how they propagated the largest vineyard holdings of Aligoté in Australia.

Not to be missed – this is a rare masterclass, and seats are limited.
