To make blind tasting more accessible, Sommeliers Australia has recently introduced a dedicated tasting group in Hobart. These sessions have already proven to be highly successful, providing a structured and supportive environment for wine professionals, students, and enthusiasts.

Each session runs for one hour, allowing you to focus purely on what’s in the glass. Simply book, turn up, taste, and develop your skills with expert guidance from host Ben Devereux (Cru Wines).

Throughout the session, you’ll taste four wines – two whites and two reds – carefully selected for their typicity, representing a diverse mix of varieties, origins, quality levels, and price points. At the conclusion of each bracket, your host will provide key insights and practical techniques to help refine your tasting approach.

This tasting group is ideal for industry professionals looking for structured blind tasting practice, WSET and CMS students preparing for exams, or anyone wanting to challenge and expand their palate.
