DESCRIPTION:The vignerons of the Mornington Peninsula will be taking over Victoria by Farmer’s Daughters at Federation Square\, on Thursday 22 May\, hosting an invitation only trade & media tasting. \nThis combination of powerhouse pioneers\, winemakers\, owners\, legends and the ‘next-generation’ with their own ambitious aspirations will be predominantly promoting the region’s Pinot Noir\, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris among the group of 20 wineries\, who have new stories to tell\, new wines to share and people to meet. \nWineries include Crittenden Wines\, Dexter\, Foxeys Hangout\, Garagiste\, Kerri Greens\, Handpicked Wines\, Kyberd Hills\, Port Phillip Estate & Kooyong Estate\, Montalto\, Ocean Eight\, Nazaaray\, Paringa Estate\, Polperro & Even Keel\, Pt Leo Estate\, Phaedrus\, Quealy Winemakers\, Rahona Valley\, Tar & Roses and Southern Light Vineyards\, Stonier\, Symons Wines and Yabby Lake. \nThe Mornington Peninsula is a region of spectacular natural beauty located 80km south of Melbourne. It has a long history of fruit growing in a cool\, maritime climate with prevailing cool southerly winds coming off Bass Strait which moderate temperatures to provide mild growing conditions. This enables us to grow and ripen quality Pinot Noir\, a grape that flourishes in a select few regions around the world.
